DESCRIPTION;LANGUAGE=en:AUT 2026\; Director: Kurt Langbein\; Running time:
 92 min\; Classification: Worth seeing\; Recommended age: 12+\n\n\n\nWe all
know that one day we will die. And yet we live as though this certainty h
ad nothing to do with us. We push the thought aside\, put it off and leave
dying to hospitals\, experts and other people. Only when illness\, loss o
r a diagnosis of our own enters our lives does an abstract truth become a
deeply personal question.\n\n\n\nIn STERBEN FÜR ANFÄNGER (Dying for Beginn
ers)\, award-winning science journalist and documentary filmmaker Kurt Lan
gbein explores a subject that affects us all\, yet is rarely discussed: de
ath and dying. The film begins with his own cancer diagnosis\, turning int
o a deeply personal search for guidance\, knowledge and support. The repor
ter becomes a patient\, and investigative research turns into an existenti
 al journey of self-discovery.
